The Golden Key: paper to screen

I started off with choosing one of my ideas that I really wanted to work (it was THE image I got in my head when reading). It was a first person view of finding the key or viewing the empty hole in the scraped away snowy ground.

I decided to use this image as reference (found on Pinterest) since I figured pretty quickly that trying to create an effect with vectors is very different from doing it on paper (harder in this case).

I used this nifty trick that they taught us in Typography class to release the path in the centre, so that when I made a new layer of ‘snow’ in the centre it aligned with the first. distort – zigzag. compound path – release
